The Warp pendant luminaire, designed by the German-Luxembourgish studio Geckeler Michels for Arkoslight, has been honored with the BIG SEE Product Design Awards 2026, one of the most prestigious international awards in contemporary product and lighting design.
Warp: a suspended textile luminaire with a fluid design
Warp originates from a horizontal circumference and takes shape through the natural tension of the fabric. Designed with an elastic and translucent textile material, this suspended luminaire stands out for its visual lightness and for the way it softly and evenly diffuses light.
Warp’s design is only completed once it is suspended. Gravity naturally shapes its outer contour, creating an organic and fluid silhouette that transforms the lamp into a sculptural element within the space.
Beyond its aesthetic value, Warp incorporates an ultra-thin LED light source that eliminates the visible presence of bulbs and enhances the prominence of the tensioned fabric. Its structure also allows for quick and easy assembly, while remaining completely flat inside the packaging to optimize transport and installation.
This recognition reinforces Arkoslight’s commitment to decorative-technical lighting capable of integrating innovation, functionality, and design into a single piece. With this award, the brand surpasses one hundred international accolades received by the luminaires in its collection.
