Located in an exceptional natural setting by the Cantabrian Sea, near Santander, Loredo House is conceived as a lookout home. From its initial design, the landscape is the main focus: large glass panels provide continuous visual connection with the sea, making the surroundings the guiding thread of the project.
The architecture is defined by a solid volume and simple geometry, with clear references to the modern language of Mies van der Rohe. The use of noble materials — limestone masonry, wood ceilings, and black aluminum — creates a balanced, sober ensemble in dialogue with the renewed vernacular tradition of the Cantabrian coast. Arkoslight’s Shot Light M Surface luminaires integrate perfectly, providing technical lighting without disturbing the purity of the interior design.
