Up –  iF Product Design Award 2022 –
 
Arkoslight is winner of this year’s iF DESIGN AWARD, the world-renowned design prize. The winning product, Up, designed by Rubén Saldaña, -Product Director at Arkoslight-, won in the product discipline, in the lighting category. Each year, the world’s oldest independent design organization, Hannover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH, organizes the iF DESIGN AWARD.

Like the line that separates heaven and earth, Up – designed by Rubén Saldaña, Arkoslight product manager – marks a horizon in space. Its light, projected vertically, evokes a natural glow that penetrates the room. The luminaire bathes the ceiling plane directly, while the environment is illuminated with a comfortable indirect light.

Up stands as a noble piece, a whole made of a single material. With its pronounced slenderness, it elegantly holds a light plate so that the light emanates from. This floor lamp is a rational and sober sculpture, crowned by a luminous aura. Its cylindrical body combines harmony and visual serenity that is transmitted around it.

Up won over the 132-member jury, made up of independent experts from all over the world. The competition was intense: almost 11,000 entries were submitted from 57 countries in hopes of receiving the seal of quality.
