The Divi suspension luminaire is born from a fresh perspective on the purest industrial forms. Conceived by Norwegian designer Lars Tornøe, its design originates from the division — the precise, longitudinal cut of an aluminium cylinder that pivots on its own axis.

Divi, in its white version, combining a direct and indirect module.
Play with light, discover the many combinations this luminaire offers.

By combining successive modules of direct and indirect light, Divi enables countless decorative compositions — both open and closed — in double-height spaces and large-scale architectural settings. Its diffuser distributes light in an exceptionally uniform way, a key gesture to create a calm and pleasant illumination in any kind of environment.

The various horizontal modules extend through space via a pivoting magnetic connection, capable of achieving almost 360º of rotation between modules, serving simultaneously as a mechanical support and electrical connector.

BEHIND THE SCENES

Regardless of the product’s composition, for Lars Tornøe the interaction between the illuminated interior and the aluminum exterior is the foundation that inspired the creation of the design. A true dialogue between function and form.

“I am very interested in the technical aspects: the production, how a product works… So the combination of the human side, intuition, and the technical side is a balance I am constantly working with.”
