Pointer, Silver Delta ADI Awards 2018

Pointer, designed by Rubén Saldaña – Arkoslight Product Manager-, has won the Silver Delta award 2018, granted by the ADI-FAD. This award is the most important prize to industrial design that is granted in Spain and means a significant international recognition to the best products of the world.

Pointer is a directional LED downlight for recess-mounting applications. With a fine and narrow bezel, it stands out for its minimalist aesthetics, its perfect integration into the ceiling and the possibility of being easily directed towards any angle, as many times as required, just with a very gentle hand motion. Whatever may be the orientation of the adjustable light beam, Pointer always maintains the same aesthetic appearance. An advantage that increases the sensation of visual order of the ceiling and which makes Pointer unique in the market.

Furthermore, Pointer has a gapless structure which does not permit airflow between the space of the premises and the space behind the false ceiling, by what the thermal insulation of the premises where installed improves.

In lighting terms, it is a product that offers excellent visual comfort as the LED light source is hidden from view, with outstanding lumen packages for its size and consumption (thanks to its excellent thermal dissipator). Its luminous flux is well taken advantage of by a high quality and efficient reflector, which works in combination with a microtextured technical diffuser. This protects the LED from external contact and diffuses the light evenly without sacrificing the definition of the light beam.
